Character Curriculum & Extra Curricular

At Trinity Academy Halifax, we are committed to ensuring that at every stage of a child’s phased journey with us, they are developing their character and accessing a wealth of opportunities beyond the academic curriculum.

Character Curriculum

Our phased Character Curriculum is designed to nurture personal growth, skill development, resilience, and ambition:

These programmes are carefully designed to develop our students into well-rounded individuals, equipping them with the character, skills, and mindset needed to thrive beyond school.

Extra-Curricular Opportunities

We offer two main categories of extra-curricular clubs to complement our Character Curriculum:

1.Graduation Clubs

  • Targeted at Year 7 and Year 8 students
  • Selected on a termly rotation
  • Attendance contributes to Graduation success criteria
  • Run from 2:20pm to 3:20pm
  • Clubs align with a specified career e.g. Be an Actor – students will explore a range of careers, develop key skills, and gain a taste of what it’s like to work in each role.

2. Involve Clubs

  • Open to all students in Years 7–9
  • No formal sign-up required
  • Designed to be inclusive and accessible
  • Also run from 2:20pm to 3:20pm
  • Provide opportunities for students to explore new hobbies, socialise, and build confidence

Together, our Character Curriculum and extra-curricular offer ensure that every student at Trinity Academy Halifax is supported to grow into a confident, capable, and compassionate young adult.
